Equaliser

Got out for a few 40 min recovery runs during the week and was pleased that the legs were recovering well. Got out the door at 5.30am on Sunday and hooked up with Tim and the Tancred's for the Striders 14k equaliser on the North Shore. Opted to take it easy over the hilly terrain and finished the run in 1.12. The ankle didn't like the downhill portion as it was difficult to maintain control. I suppose the orthotics inserts since the surgery don't really help on that terrain. Might make a trip to the podiatrist to see if I can run without them. Some great runs out there today, Tim Lindop, Ray Wareham and the winner Uncle Dave. The Unc will be pretty confident going into the sixfoot after pipping Fats today.
Watched the football final and it was great to see Durante's bro win the man of the match award.
Will pick up the training this week and hopefully I will be able to give the striders 10k in north head a good auld crack next week. Still no name change to the blog, current titles i'm considering 'second coming', 'bringing it all back home' and the 'the road to rotterdam'....watch this space!
